The Sleep of the Dead

The Sleep of the Dead is a mystery about corruption of faith and the manipulation of desperation. It explores the sinister power that can be wielded by those willing to appropriate the beliefs of other cultures to legitimize their own invented philosophy. Set in the 1920s, it develops the cult of Cthulhu and its conspiratorial ubiquity in Lovecraftian fiction by linking and mirroring it in American spiritualism. 

This mystery is designed for the Cthulhu Dark roleplaying game system but can be easily adapted to any investigation-centered system. It comes with 5 handouts with expanded information on the Cult of Cthulhu.
